浙江省水利水电勘测设计院创立于1956年，2021年完成公司注册登记，正式更名为浙江省水利水电勘测设计院有限责任公司（以下简称“浙水设计”），注册资本六亿元，是具有工程咨询、工程设计、工程勘察等12项甲级资质的大型勘测设计单位，位列全国工程咨询行业综合实力百强，是全国优秀勘察设计院、国家高新技术企业，连续六届蝉联“全国文明单位”。
浙水设计现有职工约1200人，其中硕士研究生及以上人员460余人，高级工程师及以上职称人员300余人，持各类执（职）业资格证书600余人次，拥有浙江省勘察设计大师、水利部“5151人才”、水利部“青年拔尖人才”等行业领军人才20余人次。先后获得省部级及以上各类科技进步、勘测设计、科技咨询等奖项570余项。
浙水设计深耕水利水电业务，多年来在流域综合规划、大型枢纽闸站及长距离输配水工程设计、水利工程建设与运行管理、智慧水利等领域逐步形成了核心竞争力，设计的曹娥江大闸工程被誉为“中国第一河口大闸”，温州市瓯飞一期围垦工程为国内单体最大的围垦工程，杭州市第二水源千岛湖配水工程碗式配水井方案为国内首创，南极洛河水电站工程为国内装机容量最大的千米级水头电站，柬埔寨马德望（battambang）多功能水坝项目为“一带一路”标志性工程，承接的epc总承包项目宁波澥浦闸站工程竖井贯流泵为国内单机流量第一，研发的曹娥江数字孪生平台为水利部数字孪生流域建设先行先试项目。

zhejiang design institute of water conservancy and hydroelectric power （zdwp）, established in 1956, is a large professional investigation and design unit specified in consultation, investigation, design, scientific research, rock and geo-technique, construction supervision, turnkey epc, project construction, reservoir safety impounding certification, design review for construction drawings and investment，enjoying several grade a qualifications such as engineering consultation, engineering design, engineering investigation, survey, turnkey epc, project construction, engineering cost preparation, construction supervision, water resources verification, hydrology and water resources investigation evaluation, soil and water conservation scheme preparation, monitoring and evaluation, and geologic disaster control engineering investigation etc., and many other grade b’s. for several decades, zdwp, relying on her strong technical advantages and complete setting of professions, in addition to completion of key national projects, takes active part in the market competition and expansion of domestic and overseas markets. in fierce market competition, zdwp maintains a powerful development trend, obtains obvious social and economic benefits and has made great contributions to sustainable development of national economy in zhejiang province.
zdwp enjoys a densely talented scientific and technical enterprise with well education and high qualities. for sixty years, large numbers of famous experts are springing up in consultation, design and investigation of water conservancy and hydropower projects. zdwp has now about 1000 staffs, in which, professional personnel accounting for 90%, half of them with masters’ and doctors’ degrees, national registered certification, professors and senior engineers.
for 60 years of establishment, zdwp has completed successively provincial catchment (regional) planning, comprehensive development and utilization planning of water resources for major water systems and plains such as qiantangjiang, oujiang, jiaojiang, yongjiang, cao’e jiang, feiyunjiang, aojiang, tiaoxi, hang-jia-hu, xiao-shao-ning and wen-huang plains and flood control planning for key cities, completed consultation, investigation and design of more than 100 large and medium scaled water conservancy projects, medium scaled hydraulic power projects and many urban flood control projects, industrial and civil architectural design, and epc-based projects. starting from 1960s, zdwp has sent many experts abroad across 5 continents to undertake basin planning, engineering design, technical cooperation and engineering investigation. since 1980s, zdwp has been awarded about 410 scientific advancement, excellent design and superior quality prizes in national, ministerial and provincial levels, including 30 national prizes. in addition, zdwp has also been awarded the first lot of provincial investigation and design sincerity unit, national excellent investigation and design unit, and national advanced moral civilization unit etc.
